I don't know my exact birth time. Can you still help?
Often, yes - though it depends on what you want to know. Some techniques are highly sensitive to birth time and some are not. If your time is uncertain within a window, there are rectification methods that use known life events to narrow it down, and I will tell you honestly how confident I am in the result. If the time is entirely unknown, I will tell you which questions I can still address and which I cannot.
What do you need from me before a consultation?
Your date of birth, time of birth as precisely as you know it, place of birth, and the two or three questions that matter most to you right now. That last part is more important than people expect. A focused question produces a far more useful session than "tell me about my life."
Do you predict the future?
Not in the way the word usually implies. A chart shows periods of support and periods of friction, areas of life that are strong and areas that require effort, and timing that is favourable or unfavourable for particular kinds of action. It does not show a fixed script. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either mistaken or selling something.
Can you guarantee accuracy?
No, and I would be wary of anyone who does. What I can tell you is how confident I am in each thing I say, and why. Some readings of a chart are strongly supported and some are tentative. You will always know which you are getting.
Will you tell me something frightening?
No. I do not predict death, serious illness or disaster, and I do not believe astrology should be used that way. Where a period looks difficult, I will describe it as a period requiring care and explain what that means practically - not as a doom to be averted by payment.
Do I need to buy a gemstone or perform a puja?
Not from me. Where the chart indicates a remedy I will suggest one, and it will be simple, traditional and free. I do not sell gemstones, yantras, pujas or protective items.
Is astrology compatible with my religion?
Jyotish is an ancient Indian discipline with roots in the Vedic tradition, and many people of various faiths — and of none - consult it as a framework for reflection rather than as an article of belief. I do not ask about your beliefs and I do not require you to hold any. If your tradition regards this as inappropriate, that is a matter for you and I would respect the decision entirely.
How is this different from the astrology apps and marketplaces?
Those platforms typically pair you with whoever is available, for a per-minute fee, with the chart read live while you wait. I study every chart in advance, work with a small number of clients, and take as long as the chart requires. The economics are different and so is the result.
What languages do you work in?
English and Hindi.
How do we meet, and what about time zones?
Consultations are held over video (Cameras off for Privacy). Available slots are shown in your own time zone when you book.
Do you do kundali milan / matchmaking?
Yes, and with a caveat worth stating up front. Compatibility analysis can show where two charts support each other and where friction is likely, and that can be genuinely useful. It should not be the deciding factor in whether two people marry. I will give you an honest reading and I will say so if I think the chart is being asked to carry more weight than it should.
What if I don't like what I hear?
You will still get an honest account. But an unfavourable period is information, not a sentence - usually the practical upshot is about timing and emphasis rather than resignation. And if the chart doesn't support a clear answer, I will say that too.
